- The second Open Day took place in January 2008 at The Study Gallery, North Road, Parkstone and attracted over 180 visitors

Head of Brendoncare Clubs, John Derben, said: "This is great news for older people in Poole and Parkstone, and we are delighted to have been asked to lead this exciting project. There are more than 4600 people over 65 in Poole Town and Parkstone, and this well-being initiative aims to offer improved opportunities for friendship, socialisation and activities, as well as better access to important information on a wide range of issues and services."
Well-being Project Manager of Brendoncare Club Poole, Sue Toms, said: "We have had a superb response from the people of Poole and Parkstone to our clubs and to the other services we are offering. Our clubs are devoted to giving older people the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a variety of activities including speakers, entertainers, quizzes and club outings. Our aim is to help older people maintain their independence, feel more fulfilled, improve their quality of life and have fun! We are constantly looking to add new clubs throughout the county and to maintain and support the activities and interests of the individuals within the existing clubs."
If you would like more information about joining Brendoncare Club Poole, either as a member or a volunteer, please telephone Sue Toms on 01202 722211 or email clubpoole@brendoncare.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
