How you can get involved

One of the best ways you could get involved and help us with our vital work is to join our fundraising team as a volunteer. We are seeking Events Volunteers and Admin Volunteers.

Please read on for more information, and contact Julie Lamont if you think you could help. Call 01962 857097 or email jlamont@brendoncare.org.uk.

Events Volunteers

To be part of the established fundraising team of local Hampshire charity for older people, Brendoncare and provide practical help and support. We are looking for ad hoc and regular supporters to get involved in event & organisational support and help raise the profile of care for older people.

Get involved in the publicity and promotion of the event

Help on the day with the set-up and close-down

Events can be anything from sports challenges (The Great South Run or a Skydive) to concerts, music gigs or collections outside a superstore.

Time commitment:
You choose if you want to be involved on an ad hoc or regular basis. Your time commitment will probably vary from event to event but we do need people who will agree to a level of commitment and stick to it.

Checks:
Depending on the role you take on, you may require a CRB check, we will organise this for you. From July 2010 this will include you receiving an ISA registration number, a legal requirement to be able to volunteer with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Benefits:
This is an excellent opportunity to put something back into the community or to gain valuable work experience. Out of pocket expenses will be met, including reasonable travel costs (8 miles radius from venue)
